Rio Grande Norte 99s

The fall South Central Section meeting was held in Durango, October 21-23.  Seven RGNs and four 49.5s gathered during the weekend for lots of fun and laughter.  Check out all the smiles!  Some of us arrived Thursday for the Durango and Silverton Narrow Gauge train tour on Friday.  Friday night's "Welcome Gala" featured the Bar D Wranglers, long lines for food, and not enough tables.  Turnout was greater than expected!  The Business Meeting, our official reason for being there, was Saturday morning.  The guys got to tour the rail yard, including the maintenance shop, while the gals were in the meeting.  Afterward we all met at the Cyprus Cafe for lunch, then hiked up Animas Mountain on the north end of town.  At the banquet Saturday night, RGNs took home 2 awards for FY2010 activities, and the partying continued into the night...
