The International Ninety-Nines Inc. is a 6,000 member, non-profit, world-wide organization of women pilots founded in 1929. Our mission is to:
* promote world fellowship through flight
* provide networking and scholarship opportunities to women
* provide education to the community
* preserve the unique history of women in aviation
The Rio Grande Norte chapter was chartered in 2003, and since then we have organized and participated in many activities, including educational programs for children and adults, raising money for aviation scholarships, and airmarking (that is, painting airport surfaces with beautiful, highly visible and useful markings). We hike together, we dine together (it's a rare event that does not involve food), we rejoice in each other's mileposts and provide support and comfort in times of stress. Best of all, we take to the skies as often as we can!
